Acupuncture Treatment

On your first visit you’ll be asked to fill out a holistic health questionnaire so we get a comprehensive picture of your state of health and wellness. We will incorporate the information you have provided in a holistic treatment strategy to address all the issues present, not just the main complaint/s you’ve come for. Based on your responses and the Chinese Medicine diagnoses a treatment plan is formulated.

As a rule, there is no need to undress for a treatment. Most points used are on the limbs or back. It is best to wear loose clothing so it is easier to only expose the needled parts of your body. If needed, blankets are available to keep you warm and modest.

Then very fine disposable stainless steel needles are inserted in unison with your breath. Once inserted they take around 30 minutes to work. As you’ll be in your own private treatment space, during this time you can rest and relax to fully benefit from the healing effect. You may even fall asleep as the actual experience of the treatment is so calming. During this time I will check on you to ensure you are OK and I will be close at hand should you need me.
